Vantage Logistics Successfully Transports the First New-Generation D19E Locomotive for Viet Nam Railways

Viet Nam Railways (VNR) has officially received the first new-generation D19E locomotive at Yen Vien Station.

As the first unit to arrive in Viet Nam, this delivery required rigorous execution to establish the handling and transportation standards for future batches.

Time pressure was further amplified as the cargo arrived at the border gate right before the holiday. On-site, Vantage Logistics swiftly expedited the import customs procedures and mobilized specialized heavy-haul transport to move the locomotive from the border to Yen Vien Station, effectively averting any risk of yard storage delays.81 Tons and the On-Site Lifting Challenge

Weighing 81 tons with oversized dimensions (17.2m x 2.9m x 3.9m), delivering the equipment to the station was only half the battle. The ultimate technical challenge lay in the on-site lifting operation: hoisting the 81-ton unit from the specialized trailer and positioning its wheel axles with absolute precision onto the standard railway tracks. Every aspect of the lifting plan, from crane load capacity to reach radius, was calculated with a near-zero margin of error, ensuring the safe installation of the high-value equipment.
