The shipment comprised 276 packages of oversized and overweight (OOG) steel structures, with a total weight of 1,457.07 tons and a volume of 9,941.96 CBM.Coordinating an Integrated Port-to-Vessel Service

The project required a high level of coordination across multiple operational stages. Vantage Logistics provided an integrated service covering port handling, barge transportation, and ship agency, connecting the operations from Hai Phong Port to the Quang Ninh anchorage area.

As the ship agent, Vantage Logistics served as the central point for information and coordination among suppliers, transport operators, and the vessel owner, ensuring that operational information and vessel handling plans were aligned among all parties.Maintaining Cargo Flow at Anchorage Under Unfavorable Weather Conditions

As planned, the cargo was transported by barge from Hai Phong Port to the Quang Ninh anchorage area for loading onto the mother vessel. Unlike cargo operations at a conventional berth, offshore anchorage operations are highly dependent on weather and local conditions.

Despite unfavorable weather conditions in August, which created additional challenges for barge movement and positioning, the Vantage Logistics team maintained the pace of cargo operations. Cargo was continuously transferred from the barges to the vessel in accordance with safety requirements. By coordinating the barges effectively, cargo remained available for loading, helping minimize vessel waiting time at anchorage.Project Outcome

The successful completion of the second shipment for the Rabigh II Project demonstrates the effectiveness of having a single coordination point for an integrated logistics operation.
