On June 13, 2024, at Vinh Tan International Port (VTIP), Vinh Tan Logistics Joint Stock Company (VTLC), along with leaders from the Departments and Agencies of Binh Thuan province and logistics businesses, had the honor of welcoming the survey team for the Vietnam Logistics Report 2024.
At the meeting issues discussed include import-export activities, goods transportation of businesses, as well as the advantages and challenges in implementing logistics development tasks. Businesses also proposed solutions to overcome difficulties and enhance operational efficiency.
Representatives from the Department of Industry and Trade and logistics businesses reported on the current difficulties faced by export-import businesses in Binh Thuan. The province has approximately 26,500 hectares of dragon fruit cultivation that meets export standards. Additionally, the Binh Thuan Industrial Zone Management Board indicated that the occupancy rate of the industrial zones is only about 30%. Therefore, the transportation of goods encounters obstacles due to limited container storage infrastructure and road transport services, especially during peak seasons.
Businesses are seeking partnerships with logistics units to ensure smooth processes from domestic transportation to international export-import. They also proposed the construction of container storage facilities and the improvement of logistics services to meet the increasing export-import demands.
The parties discussed and sought solutions to improve the situation, ensuring sustainable development for the logistics sector. This successful meeting marks the beginning of close cooperation between state management agencies and logistics enterprises, contributing to enhancing operational efficiency and the economic development of Binh Thuan province.
